Ghanaian prophet and controversial public figure, Prophet Kumchacha, has once again stirred emotions and social media conversations with a bold and shocking statement regarding the death of Ghanaian music legend Daddy Lumba and artiste manager BullGod.
During a recent show On United Showbiz, Prophet Kumchacha expressed deep sorrow over the rumored death of Daddy Lumba, describing it as a devastating blow to Ghana’s music industry and cultural heritage. In a passionate and somewhat controversial outburst, he said:
“Death is too wicked to take someone like Daddy Lumba, a legend, and still leave BullGod walking freely on this earth. It’s like we’ve lost gold and been left with gravel.”
The statement, though clearly made out of grief and admiration for Daddy Lumba, has drawn mixed reactions online. While many netizens agree that Daddy Lumba’s contributions to highlife music are unmatched, others found Kumchacha’s reference to BullGod disrespectful and uncalled for.
Daddy Lumba, known in private life as Charles Kwadwo Fosu, is one of Ghana’s greatest music icons, with over three decades of timeless music and a loyal fan base. Rumors about his health and death have been circulating online, though not officially confirmed.
BullGod, formerly Bulldog, has yet to publicly respond to the comment. The outspoken manager is known for his firm opinions in Ghana’s entertainment discourse and may not take the prophet’s words lightly.
Social media has since been buzzing, with some users defending Kumchacha’s passionate delivery as mere expression of grief, while others call for a public apology for dragging BullGod’s name into the conversation.
