Ghanaian music legend Kaakyire Kwame Appiah has shared a touching story behind one of the most talked-about names in his music — Senior From–Krachi — revealing that the man once gave him a house to live in rent-free during a crucial period of his life.
Speaking on Twa Wo Nase Ma On Dadi 101.1 FM, the highlife icon explained that his reference to Senior From–Krachi in his song was not just artistic expression, but a sincere acknowledgment of a life-changing act of kindness.
According to Kaakyire Kwame Appiah, at a time when life was difficult and resources were limited, Senior From–Krachi gave his house to him without demanding a pesewa.
He gave me a place to stay for free with my families,” the veteran musician stated, emphasizing that the support went beyond shelter. The gesture gave him peace of mind, stability, and the opportunity to focus on his craft without the constant worry of accommodation.
Kaakyire Kwame Appiah noted that such acts of generosity are often overlooked in the entertainment industry, where success stories are usually told without highlighting the people who quietly helped along the way. For him, mentioning Senior From–Krachi in his song was a way of showing gratitude and ensuring that the good deed is remembered and appreciated publicly.
