In a heartwarming gesture ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha celebration, Hon. John Dumelo, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon, joined forces with the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Dr. Mensah to donate several cattle to various mosques across the constituency.
The donation, which took place on 6th June 2025, was aimed at supporting the Muslim community in their sacrificial rites and celebrations, demonstrating unity and inclusivity in Ayawaso West regardless of political affiliations.
The cattle were distributed to key mosques within the constituency. The act was warmly received by religious leaders and community members, who expressed deep gratitude for the timely support.
Speaking during the presentation, Hon. John Dumelo emphasized the importance of religious harmony and community solidarity. “Eid-ul-Adha is a sacred celebration for our Muslim brothers and sisters, and it’s important we all support one another during such periods. This is not about politics; it’s about love, peace, and mutual respect,” he said.
Dr. Mensah, who represents the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the MCE, echoed similar sentiments, adding that development and support must transcend partisan lines. “Working together for the good of our people is what leadership is about,” he noted.
The collaboration between Hon. Dumelo and Dr. Mensah has been widely praised on social media and within the constituency, with many highlighting it as a positive example of bipartisan cooperation.
