KPANDAI DISTRICT, GHANA — Titus Medical Center, in collaboration with the Kpandai District Health Directorate, has organized a four-day breast cancer awareness and screening exercise across the Kpandai District to promote early detection, improve health education, and encourage residents to prioritize their health.
The exercise was conducted at different locations within the district to reach more people with essential information about breast cancer and the importance of regular screening.
The first day of the exercise took place at the Kpandai Health Center, followed by the second day at Kpandai Senior High School, where students were educated on breast cancer awareness and the need to take their health seriously.
The team subsequently moved to Kumdi for the third and fourth days, with activities held at Titus Medical Center to extend the initiative to residents of Kumdi and surrounding farming communities.
The four-day initiative forms part of efforts to increase public awareness of breast cancer, encourage early detection, and help community members understand the importance of seeking medical attention when they notice unusual changes in their bodies.
TITUS MEDICAL CENTER’S COMMITMENT TO SAVING LIVES
Speaking to INNOVATIVE SHOWBIZ, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Titus Medical Center, MR. LEE, emphasized that the facility’s primary objective is to serve communities and save lives.
He explained that the medical center is committed to providing healthcare services that respond to the needs of local residents, particularly those in rural and farming communities who may face financial difficulties when accessing medical care.
According to MR. LEE, the facility believes that healthcare should not be accessible only to people who can afford expensive medical bills but should also reach vulnerable members of society who need treatment and support.
He further explained that, because many residents in the area depend on farming for their livelihoods, the medical center provides free treatment for snakebite cases to support farmers and other community members who may encounter snakes while working on their farms.
MR.LEE also disclosed that the facility provides free bath delivery services as part of its commitment to supporting pregnant women and making essential healthcare more accessible.
He stressed that these initiatives reflect the facility’s dedication to prioritizing human lives and the well-being of the communities it serves.
“We are not here for money, but to save lives and nothing else,” Mr. Lee stated.
