Rocky Dawuni, Ibrahim Mahama and Global Leaders Chart a Path for Youth Empowerment

The Art of Exchange Dialogue Beyond Accra held at the Rocky Dawuni Foundation in Aburi was epic. MUSIGA President Bessa Simons was in attendance along with the host H.E Ambassador Simone Giger of Switzerland, artist par excellence Ibrahim Mahama, former Second Lady Samira Bawumia, E.U Ambassador Runne Skinnebach, Norwegian Ambassador John Mikal Kvistad, Impressario P.Y Amaru, former musician Elvis Opare and Ahuma Bosco Ocansey aka Daddy Bosco of MUSIGA. A night of inspiring conversations, an acoustic rendition by Rocky Dawuni of Beautiful People and an accappella of his classic tune In Ghana.

According to Rocky Dawuni, the venue which was the former studio owned by Rocky Dawuni will be positioned as a Global Innovation Center of Excellence, promoting positive change through education, culture and youth leadership. This vision will be achieved by inspiring youth leadership and social change through music, culture and the environment.

Award winning artist Ibrahim Mahama also spoke about his installation at the venue which he said was a result of a collection he had built over the years. These include the antique furniture, smocks and hibiscus colored fabric. This collection had crossed the Atlantic to the UK and back to Ghana and passed through Accra to Tamale and back to Accra before returning to his base in Tamale.

Congratulations on this bold initiative.
